**This blog post was EDITED on 4/2/20 to say. In light of our country’s position in the COVID pandemic, I have decided to extend my stay at WESH for a few more weeks. My last day on Sunrise will be May Stay safe, friends!**

Most people dont like change. I am usually one of them.
But sometimes change is necessary, even when its painful.
It is with bittersweet emotion, I write this post sharing that after 18 years with WESH-2 I am hanging up my weather clicker and smashing my alarm clock.
After May 22, I will no longer be the morning Sunrise meteorologist.
I absolutely love the work I do as a broadcast meteorologist, but waking up at 2 AM every day for so many years has taken its toll. I only have 2 years before my oldest heads off to college and I never want to look back with regret that I missed these important family moments and events that will pass so quickly.
With that in mind, I have made the extremely difficult decision to not renew my contract.
WESH-2 has been my home since and I’ve been part of a team with some of the best in the TV business.
Thank you for welcoming me into your homes every morning. Thank you for waking up with WES
